Fall 2005 Sales starts Thursday September 1st
Sale
ends and orders are due on Wednesday November 2nd
Council portion of the popcorn money due by December 9th;
there will be a 3% penalty for money received after December 30,
2005.
Notes for the Fall 2005 Sale:
Unit popcorn orders will be filled with full cases only.
All product order changes (add-ons, exchanges for damaged product, returned product and show & sell orders) will be handled at the Council Service Center.
Payment is to be made at the time of any product transaction with the only exceptions being at warehouse pickup (which will be charged to the unit account the next business day) and unit Show & Sell orders. If the individual picking up the product does not have the proper funds to pay for the product, it will be charged to the unit account.
If a unit needs a product add-on during the warehouse operation, the Product Order Change Sheet will be filled out and submitted as a separate bill and charged against the unit account. If product is returned, the same sheet is used to credit the unit account. Note: Only 30% commission will be given when using the Product Order Change Sheet.
The Trails-End Packing slip that all units will receive when picking up their order indicates the number of cases needed and the amount due to council. This slip represents the amount due to council and is your unit bill unless otherwise instructed.
All units need to designate a popcorn chairman for the unit. This person should be someone other than the unit leader and preferably has a sales background. All orders will be placed on the Trail's End Web Site. This web site will track all unit sales and offers a great training tool for scouts, unit leaders, district leaders and interested parents that want to save time and streamline the unit popcorn sales process.
With the addition of the orderpopcorn.com web site, popcorn sales can continue 24/7 with little involvement from the unit other than getting the word out to potential customers. Units will receive 22.5% commission and Council will receive 22.5%.
If there are special circumstances a unit has with any of the information stated above, please contact Jim Higham at the council office to arrange an action plan.
